Kung Fu Forms

Kung Fu is a Chinese term meaning “Work Man,” that is, to work the body.  It is a martial discipline combining a series of katas, each of which has a distinct purpose in terms of working energy.  Though most modern martial artists consider the forms a study in self-defense and fighting technique, they are in their truth much more.  For expressed through the purest forms of Kung Fu are the same traditional sacred symbols and geometrics that can be found in the Tai-Chi forms.  In their original essence, these forms are meant to be used as tools for clearing, building, understanding, extending and harnessing tremendous amounts of ch’i.

"The language of our soul is expressed through form."
